The Queen of Swords Novel Generator

If you ever wondered how such a work of literary wonder ever came together, here's your answer. Wink

  1. Take a hero and heroine, preferably from different races/lands, so there's more conflict. Make sure they dislike each other at first.
  2. The heroine, by the way, must be of the kick-ass variety. Even if she never actually picks up a sword, she can never be the stay-at-home mother type. In fact, children do not play much of a role in the novel.
  3. Make the hero flippant, brave and masculine in a non-threatening way. He often rakes a hand through his hair, or raises a single eyebrow, much like Spock.
  4. Have the protagonists embark on a journey together, usually through some dry, desert-type land. Encounters with bizarre animals may result.
  5. Along the way, throw in some details about medicine or technology or other things that wouldn't normally be found in a medieval world, just so we all understand that Science Is Cool.
  6. On a related note, if characters believe in gods, said gods will be either incredibly unhelpful or noticeably absent, so we all realize that Religion Isn't.
  7. The antagonist makes clever plans, but the hero and heroine make even cleverer plans.
  8. Throw in a battle, where things get blowed up real good. Usually through Science.
  9. Top this off with a conclusion that, while providing the requisite happy ending, strives doggedly to hint at a sequel.
